Helensburgh & Lomond needs your support

Last month 128 Food Bags were issued by Helensburgh & Lomond Foodbank, the busiest month of the year so far.  Our food stock is now very low and we desperately need donations of the following food  in order to meet the increased demand from people within our community having to use the Food Bank to feed themselves and their families.

  • TINS OF MEAT
  • TINS OF FISH
  • TINS OF SOUP
  • BOXES OF BREAKFAST CEREALS
  • BOXES OF CEREAL BARS
  • BOXES OF 80 TEABAGS
  • JARS OF CURRY and SWEET & SOUR SAUCE
  • JARS OF PASTA SAUCE
  • BAGS OF SUGAR 500g and 1kg
  • SMALL BAGS OF RICE 500g
  • SMALL CARTONS LONG LIFE MILK 500ml
  • TINS OF FRUIT
  • TINS OF CUSTARD
  • TINS OF VEGETABLES
  • TINS OF POTATOES
  • TINS OF MACARONI CHEESE
  • TINS OF BAKED BEANS
  • PACKETS OF SUPER NOODLES and SAVOURY RICE
  • PACKETS OF PASTA’N'SAUCE and MUGSHOTS
  • KIDS EXTRAS eg HOT CHOCOLATE and PEANUT BUTTER

Your ongoing kindness in communicating our food needs to others and the help we receive in gathering food for Helensburgh & Lomond Food Bank is greatly appreciated - thank you!

To those who update FOOD URGENTLY NEEDED POSTERS can you kindly amend your existing notice to include all of the above.

To all our generous contributors, there are drop off baskets in:

  • Helensburgh Co-op
  • Waitrose
  • TSI office in Colquhoun Square (used to be Ava office)
  • Red Cross building 116 East Princess Street Helensburgh. G84 7DQ. 10-12 Monday & Friday and 6-8 on Thursday evenings
  • Howie pavillion Rosneath 1-3 pm.
  • There are drop off points in numerous churches please check with your nearest one.
