Just another day out - campaigning

Written by

Holyrood has passed and you would think our members would want to put their feet up, but no, we heard that Breege Smyth was standing in the Oban North & Lorn bi-election as potential SNP Councillor and off went a couple of our members to join Breege for Super Saturday.

We had leafleters out in force, canvassers in pairs around Oban and Breege chapping doors in Dunollie. Delighted with the positive feedback on the doors and the amount of families now supporting the SNP.  We set up our street stall in the centre of Oban and spent valuable time talking to locals about their concerns.

In the afternoon we all headed over to the Rockfield Centre where Simba held a fund raiser and there we found Brendan O'Hara MP knitting! Quite the expert, he was joined by Breege who can bake, cook and paint but found knitting a wee bit of a challenge, safe to say Brendan could knit and purl faster than our candidate.

A great day had by all and we wish Breege all the best on 2nd June, if you can vote in this election please encourage your family and friends to get out and vote this is how we ensure Breege Smyth SNP wins.

Simba charity was founded in October 2005 to support those effected by the loss of a baby during pregnancy, you can find out more here:
