Early day Motion tabled at House of Commons in recognition of Gordon Reid’s remarkable tennis achievements

On Monday 11th July, local MP Brendan O’Hara tabled an Early Day Motion at the House of Commons to mark Gordon Reid’s remarkable achievements permanently at the Palace of Westminster.  

early day motion for gordon reidGordon Reid’s dogged pursuit of his tennis ambitions have paid off in a stunning Wimbledon achievement, the Men’s Doubles Wheelchair title and only 24 hours later, Men’s Singles Wheelchair championship’s in tennis’ hallowed turf of accomplishment.  Gordon is a credit to the town and an inspiration to all of us, defying the odds and achieving two titles which would be out of reach to virtually every one of us onlookers.
